What a spot. We got told about this by our caravan park buddies Brian and Helen (we also got the full rundown on Queensland and the top end from Jeff and Lynn (thanks very much). After such an awesome last day at Seal Rocks it was hard to leave. We had 3 foot surf off the point with just us out- Kirst on her boogy, Arch, me and Wooz on our boards and Nathanial burying himself in the sand. It was amazing. We also tried some beach driving and understandibly with me behind the wheel and with no previous experience Kirst and the boys were in a panic. But we made it up and down Lighthouse Beach without getting bogged just a lot of screaming. While having dinner Wooz made a classic comment looking out at the clothesline on Bill's caravan saying "Bill had giant underpants". That was the impetus to get the hell out of there and head to Crescent Head. We stopped on the way in Port Macquarie and organised for the camper to be fixed, $3000 damage, well done Gaz. Only $200 excess on insurance though, phew. So we will get a cabin in Yamba (and stretch out a bit) on the 14th and the van will get fixed in Ballina on the 16th and 17th-bang. Then we head to Byron for 2 weeks to catch up with the Hallies. Back to Crescent- we had a great day in the surf with Arch spending 3 hours in the water and getting the best waves of his life so far. Wooz tried a few too then we went canoeing in the arvo up the river, soaked each other, put soldier crabs down each others tops then raced back and tried to catch a wave in the canoe. We might try surfing, golf and bowls tomorrow seeing we leave Mothers Day to meet up with Joan and E at Emerald Beach, just north of Coffs.
